I Want & Life’s Too Short

  • I want autonomy.
  • I want stability.
  • I want alignment between my values and my work.
  • I want to use my mind creatively.
  • I want my children to have a present parent.
  • I want to live within my health limits.

This is not selfish. This is practical. This is sustainable.

Weโ€™ve been trained to believe that ambitions must be:

  • prestigious
  • externally impressive
  • academically pure
  • self-sacrificing

But building a life that suits our nervous system and, in some cases, disabilities, is not selfish โ€” itโ€™s wise.ย

Life is too short to live a life that costs more than it gives.
